1 Day Akagera National Park

Akagera National Park is the Most popular Safari Park in Rwanda , located in the Eastern part of Rwanda, approximately 2 hrs drive from the capital city Kigali. This makes it a must do – must see activity for a visitor to Kigali City. The Akagera National park is the perfect spot to see some of the Big 5, like the Lion, Leopard, the Rhino , the Buffalo and Elephant.

Trip Itinerary

We depart Kigali at 6am and drive approximately 2 hrs to Akagera National Park . We enter the park through the Southern gate in Kayonza district after a 2 hr scenic drive through the undulating hilly land scape.  On arrival at the park we commence a 3-4 hr game drive as you sip on your coffee in the comfort of your safari car. You expect to enjoy an amazing wildlife viewing experience in the rich savannah plains of Akagera. Expect to see Lions, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephants among other mammals. We therefter take a lunch break. Then embark on a leisurely drive back to Kigali exiting from the north of the park Via the Nyagatare district. We arrive in Kigali Late evening.
